HELLO SANTA ANNA TEXAS, THE NEW HOME OF COWPONY RANCH KIKOS AND GOLDEN BOY
We are settling in at Santa Anna Texas, the new home of Cowpony Ranch kikos. The boys are settling in and enjoying the warmth, the kids think they are in seventh heaven. The dogs are all learning their new territory. We are looking forward to seeing many of you in kansas, at the end of june, if all goes according to plan. Please stop by and say hello.
Our goal to continue the highly desireable characteristics of the full blood kiko, while increasing its meat to bone ratio. We want to continue the lighter bone of the kiko, while increasing its muscle mass in the hind quarters, loins and shoulders. With our herd sire GOLDEN BOY (DNA'D, 100% NEW ZEALAND)we have been able to obtain this goal. He consistantly reproduces these characteristics as well as beautiful color. Golden Boy has given 98% color consistantly, while giving 99% great meat genetics. Few bucks in the country can give this claim. We believe that the bottom line is what sells for the highest price on market day and was it cost effective to get that price. Growth rates are important. Pedigree can be important. The really important factor is will the buyer pay top dollar for your animals?

OUR HERD SIRE, HEMPS GOLDEN BOY. Out of about 45 does bred to Golden Boy this season, we have very few all white babies. Out of his year old daughters, bred to Top Gun (all white), we only had 2 all white kid. His color gene is strong and his meat genetics come thru as you can see on the baby pages, His progeny are being true to form with the does and bucks carrying on the Golden Boy great genetics
